WPC: Minimalist

An Eastern Water Dragon

An artfully executed minimalist photograph is anything but mundane. It illustrates a moment in time, or an artistic perspective, with simplicity and grace.

Heyjude

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

    1. near the pool on the Manly walk to Shelly beach. I was actually photographing the info sign about them when my DiL pointed them out to me. There were three, I think this is a female as a much larger one approached. I got a nice shot of him which I’ll try and post.

  1. What a beautiful capture! I saw a few on my walk this morning, but they were skittering across the road out of sight, not offering their best side for a portrait. Where was it? My only encounter where I had a chance of a photo was in the Canberra botanical gardens, and I didn’t have my camera!

    1. Hi Jo! I got some good close-ups of these lizards. I’ll try to post more. Get very tired very early though and it is hot here. I don’t do hot very well, especially since I seem to have come down with a horrid cold. Move into the city tomorrow so will have fun seeing the sites, though will miss the baby – he is such a sweetie. Will see him again in a few weeks time.

      1. The cold germs seem to be going the rounds. I’m wheezing and coughing too 🙂 Just to keep you company. I love hot but it’s nowhere near as easy to tolerate as it used to be. Guess our bodies know what’s good for us as we get a little older, but it’s a bugger sometimes. Take care!
